Starting Monday, February 2, 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea has officially announced a change in the procedure for consular verification (notarization) services. All applicants must now secure an on-site visit reservation to access these services. The embassy will discontinue the previous online booking system and will no longer accept appointments through it. Therefore, applicants should actively plan their visits, carefully confirm reservation requirements, and, most importantly, prepare all necessary documents for the Korean consular verification (notarization) well in advance before arriving at the Korean Embassy. This will help prevent unnecessary delays and inconvenience.
